Way back in the olden days of LAST JUNE, I participated in a Bridal Tasting for Catering by the Family. The evening was filled with lovely new friends and great food, it wasn’t until my table was torn down, and 3/4′s of my belongings were packed away before I was introduced to Tomeka and her Mom (Shout out to Grace for making this happen.) Tomeka was so excited we met and wanted to book on the spot, without having seen any of my photography… Naturally when someone wants to book you right away, your head gets inflated with a bunch of hot air and ego-driven goodness (or at least that’s how it goes for me,) but once I came back down to earth… I sent her home with homework (check out our site and blog) and a consultation appointment the next day. The next day came and we had the greatness time giggling, trying to pronounce the venue name for about ten minutes (‘Bah-haa-eee-yan’ is my interpretation) and talking about her time up in the frozen north stationed far away, while her groom was overseas fighting as well. Once the days grew closer and Ahmad was still not back on US soil, we started to , but to our surprise he came home and their BIG DAY went off perfectly!
